Mead had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Frederick on Tuesday. The Mavericks were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Golden Eagles. The Mavericks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Golden Eagles, too.

One reason for the win was Mead's just kept getting better, winning each set by more points than the last. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-17, 25-14.

Leading Mead to victory were Alana Costello and Kamdyn Morris. Costello had nine digs and three aces, while Morris had ten assists and two aces. That's the most aces Costello has posted over her last six matches.

They weren't the only good servers: Mead was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least five aces in 13 consecutive matchups.

Mead has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Frederick, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-9.

Mead didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Fairview on the 16th. As for Frederick, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Monarch on the 16th.
