Volleyball Recap: Dover Dragons vs. Onteora Eagles

Dover had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Onteora Eagles. The victory was some much needed relief for the Dragons as it spelled an end to their eight-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 19-25, 25-22, 25-16.

Dover's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Lenna Bova, who had ten kills, five digs, and two aces. Another player making a difference was Summer Anderson, who had eight kills and five aces.

Anderson wasn't the only one working in the aces department: Dover was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in September of 2023.
