Basketball Game Preview: East Mountain Timberwolves vs. Sandia Prep Sundevils

East Mountain is 0-10 against Sandia Prep since February of 2020 but things could change on Friday. The East Mountain Timberwolves will host the Sandia Prep Sundevils at 6:30 p.m. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

East Mountain is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They pulled ahead with a 60-59 photo finish over Bosque on Wednesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Timberwolves.

Meanwhile, Sandia Prep beat Socorro 51-38 on Tuesday.

East Mountain has also been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-11 record this season. As for Sandia Prep, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 7-9.

East Mountain took a serious blow against Sandia Prep in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, falling 48-16. Thankfully for East Mountain, Emily Cook (who posted 23 points along with six rebounds and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
