Basketball Game Preview: Warren County Wildcats vs. Strasburg Rams

The Warren County Wildcats will face off against the Strasburg Rams at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Warren County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56.9 points per game this season.

Warren County took a loss when they played away from home on Saturday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. Everything went their way against Hylton as Warren County made off with a 68-48 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Warren County's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ethan Bare, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards, and Nolan Berry, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 boards. The dominant performance gave Berry a new career-high in rebounds. Another player making a difference was Adrian Craig, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Warren County was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Meanwhile, Strasburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 42-28 bruising from Buckhannon-Upshur. The contest marked the Rams' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Warren County's win bumped their record up to 2-7. As for Strasburg, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
