Jared Cohee leads a balanced attack to beat Benbrook

The Rider Raiders can finally bid farewell to their eight-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They walked away with a 50-42 victory over Benbrook. The win was just what Rider needed coming off of a 59-38 defeat in their prior contest.
Rider's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jared Cohee led the charge by scoring 16 points. Gavin Aday was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.
Rider's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Benbrook, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11.
Rider will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against Azle at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th. Azle will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 1332nd, while Rider is ranked 575th). Benbrook and Aubrey will face off at 3:00 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Aubrey is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
