Basketball Recap: Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER vs. Belmont Charter Tigers
There's no place like home for the Kensington KENSINGTON TIGER, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 55-52 win over Belmont Charter on Tuesday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Kensington also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
Jovan McCants continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 30 points. That makes it five consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Kensington's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Deanthony Rodriguez, who scored 11 points.
The win got Kensington back to even at 8-8. As for Belmont Charter, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-4.
Kensington won't have much time to rest: their next match is against the at 3:15 p.m. on January 31st. Penn Treaty knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matches -- so hopefully the KENSINGTON TIGER like a good challenge. As for Belmont Charter, they will head out on the road to challenge the Warriors at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Franklin Towne is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.
