It was a good run, but Pine Crest unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-match winning streak on Wednesday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Broward Prep Eagles. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Eagles earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Pine Crest's offense was headlined by Mia Gold and Gabriella Florian, who picked up five kills apiece. They got some help from Isabella Collado and her 12 assists.

Leading North Broward Prep to victory were Emma Luehrs and Destiny Wiggins. Luehrs had 21 assists and eight digs, while Wiggins had ten digs and six assists. That's the most assists Wiggins has posted over her last six contests.

Pine Crest's defeat dropped their record down to 15-9. As for North Broward Prep, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 19-2.

Coming up, Pine Crest will challenge King's Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. North Broward Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
