Volleyball Recap: Crivitz Wolverines vs. Peshtigo Bulldogs
Crivitz lost against Peshtigo back in September of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Wolverines took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bulldogs. The Wolverines have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-19.
Crivitz's offense was headlined by Peyton Rehberg and Marli Meyers, who picked up four kills apiece. They were helped by Hattie Frievalt and Haili Dorschner, who contributed five assists each.
Peshtigo's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Neela Sotka led the charge by getting six digs and four aces. That's the most aces Sotka has posted since back in October of 2024. Another player making a difference was Skylyn Baxter, who had seven assists and four digs.
Crivitz's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Peshtigo, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.
Crivitz has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Gillett on the 28th. As for Peshtigo, they will welcome Southern Door at 7:00 p.m. on the 4th. The contest will give the Bulldogs their first taste of in-conference action this season.
