Basketball Recap: Lyford Takes a Loss

Lyford lost against Harlingen back in December of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Lyford Bulldogs lost to the Harlingen Cardinals on the road by a 72-57 margin. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 918th, while the Cardinals are ranked 125th).

Lyford is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6. As for Harlingen, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 16-3.

Lyford has already played their next game, a 68-55 victory against Macedonian Christian on the 12th. As for Harlingen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 70-51 win against Veterans Memorial on the 13th.
