Softball Game Preview: West Bridgewater Wildcats vs. Greater New Bedford RVT Bears

The West Bridgewater Wildcats are taking a road trip to challenge the Greater New Bedford RVT Bears at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Neither West Bridgewater nor Greater New Bedford RVT posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

West Bridgewater lost 9-1 to Seekonk on Wednesday. The Wildcats have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

West Bridgewater saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alanna Fidalgo, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Greater New Bedford RVT suffered their biggest loss since May 2, 2024 on Saturday. They came up short against Dighton-Rehoboth Regional, falling 15-1. The Bears have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

West Bridgewater's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Greater New Bedford RVT, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.

West Bridgewater might still be hurting after the 12-0 defeat they got from Greater New Bedford RVT in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the Wildcats avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
