Basketball Game Preview: Bellevue Broncos vs. Burr Oak Bobcats

The Bellevue Broncos will take on the Burr Oak Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bellevue comes in on three and Burr Oak on four.

Bellevue will bounce into Thursday's game after beating Colon, who they had gone 0-9 against in their nine prior meetings. Bellevue snuck past Colon with a 35-31 win on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Burr Oak hadn't done well against Athens recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Burr Oak narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Athens 29-26. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bobcats have posted since February 19, 2024.

Bellevue is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Burr Oak, they pushed their record up to 10-3 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road.

Bellevue ended up a good deal behind Burr Oak in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, losing 44-29. Can Bellevue avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
