Softball Recap: Deep Run Wildcats vs. Godwin Eagles

Deep Run was the 6-2 winner over Godwin when they last played one another last Friday, but their luck changed this time around. The Deep Run Wildcats took a 5-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Godwin Eagles on Wednesday.

Braelyn Baulsir made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with a home run.

On Godwin's side, Katelyn Hubley spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on three hits and racked up 14 Ks. Hubley has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 14 consecutive pitching appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Anna Grace (AG) Howe, who scored a run and stole three bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.
