Baseball Recap: Globe's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

Globe can bid farewell to their five-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They skirted past the Alchesay Falcons 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Tigers have posted since April 11, 2024.

Braden Wager was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Wager was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That stolen base was his first of the season.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Jaeger Franco, who scored a run and stole Three bases. while going 3-for-3. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. Braxton Tober also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Globe's record is now 3-5. As for Alchesay, they moved to 8-2 with that defeat, which also ended their six-game winning streak.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Globe will face off against Valley Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Alchesay, they will take on Chinle at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
