After flying high against Palm Glades Prep Academy last Thursday, St. Brendan came back down to earth. The St. Brendan Sabres had to suffer through a 45-6 loss at the hands of the Archbishop McCarthy Mavericks. The Sabres were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 31-6.
Despite the loss, St. Brendan still got an impressive performance from Geovanni Tobon, who rushed for 90 yards and a touchdown.
Robert Kerns was nothing short of spectacular for Archbishop McCarthy: he threw for 111 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes, and also rushed for 45 yards and a touchdown. Kendall Brown also deserves a mention for his punt return touchdown.
