            Football Recap: Robstown Cottonpickers vs. Rockport-Fulton Pirates        
        
		
        
        
            
After soaring to 33  points the game before, Robstown was a bit more limited  in their  contest  on Thursday. They came up short against  the Rockport-Fulton Pirates, falling  33-12. The defensive woes were  uncharacteristic for the Cottonpickers, who until this  matchup were averaging 14.13  points allowed.
 Robstown didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of  Timothy Sanchez and  Ethan Vasquez.  Joaquin Gonzalez was another major factor on D,  making eight total tackles (4.0 for loss).
 It was another big night for  Traey Alvarado, who rushed for 121 yards and one  TD while picking up 7.6 yards per carry for Rockport-Fulton. Alvarado showed off some serious burst, turning on the afterburners on one carry for 52 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaxon Keown, who rushed for 51 yards and one  touchdown.
Robstown's defeat dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Rockport-Fulton, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-3.
 Coincidentally, Robstown and Rockport-Fulton will both be playing Sinton the next time they take the field. The Cottonpickers will  host the Pirates at 7:00  p.m.  on October 31, while the Pirates will head out to face them  at 7:00  p.m.  on  the 7th.
