Basketball Recap: Atholton Comes Up Short

Atholton and Sherwood squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Atholton had to settle for second. They had to suffer through a 78-32 loss at the hands of the Sherwood Warriors. The matchup marked the Raiders' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Raiders players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Mike Davis, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Cameron Lyons, who had 14 points.

With the defeat, Atholton broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 14-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.7 points over those games. As for Sherwood, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 24-2.

As of now, neither Atholton nor Sherwood have any future games scheduled.
