Softball Recap: North Vermillion Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for North Vermillion, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against the Attica Red Ramblers on Saturday by a score of 13-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). With that win, the Falcons brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.

North Vermillion got a big performance out of Willow Campbell, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave Campbell a new career-high. Tessa Downs was another key player, getting on base in two of her three plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

North Vermillion's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Attica, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-6 record this season.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: North Vermillion beat Attica by a score of 19-3 later that day.
