Softball Game Preview: ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars vs. Annawan-Wethersfield Titans

The ROWVA/Williamsfield Cougars are taking a road trip to face off against the Annawan-Wethersfield Titans at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. ROWVA/Williamsfield will be strutting in after a victory while Annawan-Wethersfield will be coming in after a defeat.

ROWVA/Williamsfield was handed a 11-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Princeville 6-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Annawan-Wethersfield didn't have quite enough to beat Abingdon/Avon on Tuesday and fell 13-12. The Titans haven't had much luck with the Tornadoes recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Annawan-Wethersfield's defeat dropped their record down to 9-12. As for ROWVA/Williamsfield, their victory bumped their record up to 10-12.

ROWVA/Williamsfield came out on top in a nail-biter against Annawan-Wethersfield in their previous meeting two weeks ago, sneaking past 6-5. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cougars since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
