It was a good run, but Milton unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Waunakee Warriors by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.

Milton started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-8, 15-3.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Waunakee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kendall Scadden, who had 11 digs and three assists.

Milton's defeat dropped their record down to 22-12. As for Waunakee, they pushed their record up to 30-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Warriors beat Milton by a score of 2-0 later that day.
