Softball Recap: Valley Regional Warriors vs. North Branford Thunderbirds

Valley Regional fell victim to North Branford and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 22-0 to the North Branford Thunderbirds. Valley Regional has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For North Branford's part, Lauren Vitarisi was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out seven over 4.1 innings pitched. Vitarisi has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in six consecutive pitching appearances. Vitarisi was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 3-for-4.
