Preview: Franklin vs. Oliver Ames
Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Oliver Ames should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Franklin at Franklin High School - Pisini Field at 7:00 PM. Oliver Ames are limping into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
Oliver Ames fought the good fight in their overtime match last Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They ended up on the wrong side of a painful 6-30 walloping at Taunton's hands. The matchup was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Oliver Ames were outplayed the rest of the way.
Meanwhile, after a dominant victory in their game two weeks ago, Franklin were humbled. They lost to Mansfield by a decisive 6-24 margin.
Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this weekend. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous match, so their meeting could be a low-scoring affair.
