After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carbondale, Anna-Jonesboro was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Cobden Appleknockers with a sharp 14-0 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Appleknockers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.
Anna-Jonesboro let Daylon Butler and Landon Boyd run wild. Butler got on base in all four of his plate appearances with four RBI and two runs, while Boyd scored three runs and stole Three bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Aaron Sheffer was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.
Anna-Jonesboro always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .606. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Cobden only posted an OBP of .250.
