Volleyball Game Preview: Buckeye Hawks vs. Canyon View Jaguars + How To Watch

The Buckeye Hawks will venture away from home to face off against the Canyon View Jaguars at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Thursday, Buckeye beat Youngker 3-1. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Roughriders recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Buckeye had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 17-25, 26-24, 25-9, 25-14.

Buckeye found their leader in sophomore Peyton Young, who had 15 assists and seven digs.

Meanwhile, Canyon View made easy work of Verrado on Thursday and carried off a 3-0 win.

The victory didn't come easy: Verrado scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-23, 25-22.

Buckeye's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Canyon View, their victory bumped their record up to 12-5.

Buckeye might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Canyon View in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
