Warner entered their tilt with Groton on Tuesday with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. They put the hurt on the Tigers with a sharp 3-0 win. That's more bragging rights for the Monarchs, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Warner's got stronger as the match went on, holding Groton to fewer and fewer points set over set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 27-25, 25-19, 25-16.

MaKenna Leidholt paced Warner's offense, picking up 15 kills. Leidholt got some help from Reagan Wood and her 19 assists. Leidholt also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Tatum Hanson, each putting up two.

When it comes to explaining why Groton lost, don't look at Jerica Locke. Despite the final result, she had 15 digs and two assists. Locke is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 12 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Warner's record now sits at 14-2. As for Groton, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Warner has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Sioux Falls Christian on the 27th. As for Groton, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Tiospa Zina on the 25th.
