Volleyball Recap: West Jefferson Comes Up Short

West Jefferson lost against Fairbanks back in August and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Roughriders fell 3-1 to the Panthers. The Roughriders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-21, 22-25, 25-8.

Julia Beatty paced West Jefferson's offense, picking up 23 kills. Beatty got some help from Mary Ava Wills and her 17 assists. Finally, Beatty was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high three blocks.

West Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Fairbanks, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 16-4.

West Jefferson has already played their next contest (against Northeastern), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Fairbanks, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Triad on the 7th.
