Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Roanoke Rapids). Everything went their way against the Nash Central Bulldogs on Wednesday as the Roanoke Rapids Yellowjackets made off with a 73-50 victory. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 269th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 550th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Roanoke Rapids was led to victory by Quentez Richardson and Christian Price. Richardson went 6 of 10 en route to 18 points, while Price made all 6 shots he took to post 12 points. Those 18 points gave Richardson a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Spillane, who posted 11 points.

Roanoke Rapids smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive boards in three consecutive matches.
