Baseball Recap: Madison Comes Up Short

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 16-4 to the Adamsville Cardinals. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cardinals this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-2 last Monday.

Madison saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ian Wyatt, who went 1-for-2 with one double and one RBI. That double marked the first that Wyatt hit this season.

Madison now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Adamsville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Looking ahead, Madison will head out on the road to square off against Lakeland Preparatory at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Adamsville, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against McKenzie at 2:00 p.m.
