Basketball Recap: Dime Box Falls Despite Big Games from Heather Fritsche and Ta'niyah Auston

Dime Box lost against Richards back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dime Box Longhorns received a blow as they fell 53-38 to the Richards Panthers. The Longhorns have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dime Box's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ta'Niyah Auston, who posted 15 points, and Heather Fritsche, who scored ten points. That was a full 39.5% of Dime Box's points, marking the 14th time in a row she's put up more than a third of the team's points.

Dime Box's loss dropped their record down to 5-12. As for Richards, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Dime Box wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-29 defeat against Fayetteville on the 21st. As for Richards, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 41-21 victory against North Zulch on the 23rd.
