Softball Game Preview: Perryville Panthers vs. North Harford Hawks

For the second straight game, Perryville will face off against North Harford. The Panthers will host the Hawks at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Perryville has given up an average of 9.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Perryville lost 12-5 to North Harford on Tuesday. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Taegan Spier was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She tossed five innings while giving up just two earned (and seven unearned) runs off seven hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was even better at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-3. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Spier wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kyle Seidle, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI. Saphira Hamill also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

North Harford's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Perryville, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
