Baseball Recap: River Mill Comes Up Short

River Mill and East Wake Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but River Mill had to settle for second. They came up short against the Eagles, falling 31-0. The Jaguars have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

River Mill's loss dropped their record down to 9-8. As for East Wake Academy, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-3.

River Mill does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Wake Academy, they will face off against East Columbus on Friday. The Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Gators have averaged an impressive 7.4 runs per game this season.
