Baseball Recap: Windom's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Windom was the 13-4 winner over St. James when they last played one another back in April of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Eagles fell 11-8 to the Saints on Tuesday. The loss put an end to the Eagles' undefeated start to the season.

Quintin Tietz was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-5 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Tietz is also crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Jackson Joyce was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

Having lost for the first time this season, Windom fell to 2-1. As for St. James, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, Windom will head out on the road to square off against Redwood Valley at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for St. James, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Loyola at 5:00 p.m.
