Preview: Spencerville Bearcats vs. Parkway Panthers
The Spencerville Bearcats will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Parkway Panthers at 6:00 p.m.
After soaring to 59 points the game before, Spencerville were a bit more limited in their game on Thursday. They were dealt a 55-24 loss at the hands of Allen East. While losing is never fun, Spencerville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 294th, while Allen East is ranked 96th).
Meanwhile, Parkway had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 25.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against New Bremen by a score of 37-28.
Spencerville's loss dropped their record down to 11-9. As for Parkway, their victory was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5.
Spencerville was taken down by Parkway 54-26 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Spencerville was down 29-7.
