Softball Game Preview: Monmouth-Roseville Titans vs. Sherrard Tigers

Monmouth-Roseville hasn't had much luck against Sherrard recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Titans will welcome the Tigers at 4:30 p.m. The two teams are strolling into their matchups after big wins in their previous games.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Monmouth-Roseville turned things around against Hall on Friday. They blew past the Red Devils 15-2. The Titans' offense finally found a way to get into gear: the high-octane performance was a 180-degree turn from their last seven games.

Meanwhile, Sherrard made easy work of Newman Central Catholic on Friday and carried off a 16-6 win. Considering the Tigers have won ten games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Sherrard has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.6 runs over those games. As for Monmouth-Roseville, their win bumped their record up to 5-16.
