Softball Recap: Argos Dragons vs. Triton Trojans
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Winamac, Argos was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They came out on top against the Triton Trojans by a score of 10-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). This was payback for the Dragons, who suffered a 13-3 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Ivy Stackhouse made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two stolen bases gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adelyn Lewark, who scored two runs and stole three bases while going 2-for-2. Those two runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Maddie Overmeyer, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.
Argos always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Triton only posted an OBP of .062.
Argos' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Triton, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Looking ahead, Argos will square off against Pioneer at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Triton, they will take on Tippecanoe Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
