Basketball Recap: Appoquinimink Takes a Loss

Appoquinimink was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by the Smyrna Eagles 63-32. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Delaware basketball rankings (they are ranked 32nd, while the Eagles are ranked fifth).

Appoquinimink's loss dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Smyrna, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-3 record this season.

Appoquinimink does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Smyrna, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Eagles challenge the Ravens at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
