Soccer Game Preview: Overton vs. Clarksville

The Overton Bobcats are taking a road trip to face off against the Clarksville Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

As a matter of fact, Overton put up the most goals they have all season on Tuesday. Everything went their way against McGavock as they made off with a 4-1 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for Overton.

Meanwhile, Clarksville waltzed into their match on Tuesday with five straight wins... but they left with six. They never let the Yellow Jackets get on the board and left with a 6-0 win. The result was nothing new for Clarksville, who have now won three contests by six goals or more so far this season.

They hit Springfield with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Alex Todd (3), Carter Kalgren, Stefan Losich, and Hudson Black.

Clarksville's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up zero goals over those three games. As for Overton, the victory got them back to even at 3-3-1.
