Recap: Ord Chanticleers vs. Broken Bow Indians
The Ord Chanticleers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were the victim of a rough 71-48 defeat at the hands of Broken Bow. Ord was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 43-22.
Despite the loss, Ord still got an impressive performance from Marin Reilly, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maggie Fischer, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Ord has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for Broken Bow, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-3.
Ord and O'Neill will face off at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Ord is coming into the game with four straight defeats on the road, meaning O'Neill will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Broken Bow, they will be playing at home against Cozad on Friday. Cozad has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
