Baseball Recap: Westside Comes Up Short

After flying high against Hillcrest on Monday, Westside came back down to earth. The Warriors lost 14-1 to the Pocahontas Redskins on Tuesday. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Westside saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Ferguson, who went 1-for-3 with one RBI.

Westside's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Pocahontas, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 11-3.

Looking ahead, Westside will head out to square off against Riverside at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pocahontas will be paying especially close attention to the Warriors' game: after the Warriors face off against the Rebels, they'll take on Pocahontas again at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
