Volleyball Game Preview: Juanita Ravens vs. Lake Washington Kangaroos + How To Watch

Juanita hasn't had much luck against Lake Washington recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Ravens will be playing in front of their home fans against the Kangaroos at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Juanita got the win against Cedarcrest by a conclusive 3-0.

Juanita's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Elisa Cook, who had 21 digs and two aces, and Carla Pop, who had 18 assists and three digs. Cook is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Violet Dougherty also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

They weren't the only good servers: Juanita was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least ten aces in 12 consecutive matches.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Lake Washington, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top against Mercer Island by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. The win continues a trend for the Kangaroos in their matchups with the Islanders: they've now won four in a row.

Juanita's victory bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Lake Washington, their win bumped their record up to 2-11.
