Baseball Recap: Perkiomen Valley Takes a Loss

Perkiomen Valley fell victim to Methacton and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 11-0 to the Warriors. The Vikings have struggled against the Warriors recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Perkiomen Valley got a good showing from Chris Horgan, who tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Horgan has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

Perkiomen Valley's loss dropped their record down to 12-6. As for Methacton, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-4.

Perkiomen Valley and Methacton should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Pennsylvania Rankings. The Vikings (ranked 66th) will meet Owen J. Roberts (ranked 296th) at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Methacton will face off against Boyertown at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday with a big rank advantage (65 vs. 254). The timing is sure in the Warriors' favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while the Bears have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
