Preview: Harlandale Indians vs. South San Antonio Bobcats

Harlandale has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will challenge the South San Antonio Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Harlandale focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday.

Even though Southside scored an imposing 64 points, Harlandale still came out on top. Harlandale enjoyed a cozy 78-64 victory over Southside.

Harlandale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jonathan Regalado, who scored 20 points along with five assists. Regalado has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Roger Dominguez, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, South San Antonio pushed their score all the way to 59 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell to Medina Valley 65-59. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as South San Antonio came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 352nd, while Medina Valley is ranked 831st).

Harlandale pushed their record up to 12-12 with that victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 71.7 points per game. As for South San Antonio, their loss dropped their record down to 15-10.

Harlandale was able to grind out a solid victory over South San Antonio in their previous meeting on January 2nd, winning 60-51. The rematch might be a little tougher for Harlandale since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
