Football Game Preview: Wright Panthers vs. Pine Bluffs Hornets + How To Watch

Wright is 1-8 against Pine Bluffs since September of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Panthers will face off against the Hornets at 6:00 p.m.

Wright is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Saratoga, who was ranked 13th at the time (Wright was ranked 20th). Wright came up short against Saratoga on Friday, falling 26-3. The contest marked Wright's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Meanwhile, Pine Bluffs strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They never let Niobrara County get on the board and left with a 65-0 victory. The Hornets' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Pine Bluffs' win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Wright, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Wright was taken down by Pine Bluffs 42-10 in their previous meeting back in September of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
