Kyle Monterrubio commands the offense for Polar Bears win

Recap: Jackson Polar Bears vs. GlenOak Golden Eagles

The Jackson Polar Bears waltzed into their matchup on Friday with four straight wins but they left with five. They skirted past GlenOak 82-80. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Jackson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kyle Monterrubio, who scored 23 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitch Finefrock, who scored 18 points.

Despite the loss, GlenOak had strong showings from Ja'Corey Lipkins, who scored 28 points along with eight rebounds, and Reese Zerger, who scored 18 points along with seven rebounds. Lipkins has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last 14 times he's played. Daijhon Robinson was another key contributor, scoring ten points.

Jackson has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. As for GlenOak, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-5.

Jackson will take on Perry at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Jackson has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 961 points over their last 13 games. As for GlenOak, they will head out on the road to take on Austintown-Fitch at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Austintown-Fitch focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
