Combs took a 16-run loss the last time they faced off against Eastmark, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Coyotes won by a run and slipped past the Firebirds 5-4. The victory was familiar territory for the Coyotes, who have now won four games in a row.

Kayleigh Snyder was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Ellie Snyder was excellent, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Jackie Newman was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.

Combs was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .429. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastmark only posted a batting average of .000.

Combs' record now sits at 15-8. As for Eastmark, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 9-7 record.

Combs will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Firebirds: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
