Football Recap: Wallace-Rose Hill Finds Playoff Glory Versus Greene Central + How To Watch

It's playoff time, and Wallace-Rose Hill had no trouble coming through when it counted. They pulled ahead with a 37-36 photo finish over the Greene Central Rams on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Bulldogs have posted since October 18, 2024.

Jamarae Lamb had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 239 yards and five touchdowns, while also picking up 30 receiving yards. His rushing production has been exceptional for a while as that marked his tenth straight game with at least 140 rushing yards. Wallace-Rose Hill also got a significant boost from Jamari Carr, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 90 yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Wallace-Rose Hill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 364 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 277 rushing yards in ten consecutive contests.

Greene Central's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Joshua Cetnar, who threw for 229 yards and three TDs while completing 84.2% of his passes. Cetnar is becoming a predictor of the Rams' success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is 4-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't). Dejuan Cobb helped Cetnar out on the ground, rushing for 100 yards and a pair of scores on only 14 carries.

Wallace-Rose Hill pushed their record up to 6-5 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 10.5 points on average over those games. As for Greene Central, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
