Baseball Recap: Highland Springs Takes a Loss

Highland Springs had taken Maggie Walker down for six straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Springers fell just short of Maggie Walker by a score of 6-5. The Springers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Maggie Walker apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Highland Springs and nudges their season record down to 5-7. As for Maggie Walker, they pushed their record up to 7-4 with the victory, which was their sixth straight on the road.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Highland Springs will face off against Patrick Henry at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Maggie Walker, they will head out to take on James Monroe at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
