Baseball Game Preview: Suffield Academy Tigers vs. Pomfret School Griffins

For the second straight game, Suffield Academy will face off against Pomfret School. The Tigers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Griffins at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Suffield Academy is looking for their season's first win.

On Saturday, Suffield Academy came up short against Pomfret School and fell 9-4.

For Pomfret School's part, Alex Trapani and Rob Ellsworth did most of the damage at the plate: Trapani got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, while Ellsworth went 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. Those three runs gave Trapani a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Sammy Rivet, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one double.

Pomfret School's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Suffield Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.
