Soccer Recap: Cindy Avitia Takes a Loss

After flying high against Summit Tahoma last Monday, Cindy Avitia came back down to earth. The Cindy Avitia Jaguars came up short against the Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit Lions on Tuesday, falling 4-1. While losing is never fun, the Jaguars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 790th, while the Lions are ranked 335th).

Cindy Avitia now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 12-1-2.

Cindy Avitia wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next matchup, a 6-0 victory against ACE Charter on the 1st. As for Cristo Rey San Jose Jesuit, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next game, a 9-0 win against Luis Valdez Leadership Academy on the 30th.
