Basketball Preview: Grovetown Warriors vs. Central Cabarrus Vikings        
        
		
             The Grovetown Warriors and the Central Cabarrus Vikings are set to duel  on Friday. Grovetown is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.4  points per game  this season.
 While Grovetown didn't have the best season last year (they finished 9-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They pulled ahead with  a  55-54 photo finish over Evans on Friday. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Warriors.
  Asunti Porter continued  her habit of posting crazy stat lines,  going 11 for 23 en route to 33 points. Another player making a difference was  Rebecka Jones, who  had six points in addition to six  rebounds and five  assists.
 Grovetown was working as a unit and  finished the game with 13  assists. That's the most  assists they've posted since back in December of 2023.
 Meanwhile,  a  win for Central Cabarrus just wasn't in the cards  on Saturday as the  team wasn't able to take the lead at any point. They came up short against  West Cabarrus, falling  69-49. The Vikings haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
 Grovetown pushed their record up to 4-1 with the  victory, which was their fourth straight  at home dating back to last season. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 56.8 points per game. As for Central Cabarrus, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
