Basketball Recap: Guajome Park Academy Comes Up Short

Guajome Park Academy extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 4-11. They had to suffer through a 61-24 loss at the hands of the Classical Academy Caimans. The matchup marked the Frogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Several Frogs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Dallas Vidana, who almost dropped a double-double with nine points and ten rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Matthew Valenzuela, who posted nine points and three steals.

As for Classical Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-17 record this season. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their 29-point performance the matchup before.

Classical Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Owen Bouchilllon, who scored ten points. That's the most points Bouchilllon has posted since back in December of 2025. Another player making a difference was Ethan Koehler, who put up ten points.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Guajome Park Academy will challenge rival Rock Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Classical Academy is set to square off against their familiar foe Escondido Adventist Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
